Rachel Weber
Center Director
Born and raised in the south Puget Sound area, Rachel has been with Sylvan for 8 years, as a teacher and as a director. Prior to becoming a director with Sylvan, Rachel taught math at Tacoma Community College. Rachel's daughters currently attend Cascade Middle School and Washington Elementary. Outside of Sylvan, Rachel enjoys the Mariners, New Orleans Saints and attending concerts.
Jennifer Tanzy
Director of Education
Jennifer worked with Sylvan in Florida for 10 years prior to moving to Washington. She teaches the reading, writing, math, study skills, homework support, and SAT Prep programs. As diverse as the ages of students and subjects that Jennifer teaches, her interests follow suit. Jennifer is active in dance and is a sci-fi junkie.
Ann Shultz
Teacher
Ann has 18 years of teaching experience in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. She has been with Sylvan for 3 years and teaches reading, writing, and math. Ann and her husband have a very diverse collection of pets at home. Ask her about them sometime!
Judy Hart
Teacher
Judy has been a 3rd grade teacher in the Kent School District for 7 years and we welcome her to the Auburn Sylvan. At Sylvan Judy primarily works with pre-kindergarden and early elementary students in reading and math. Outside of Sylvan, Judy enjoys time with her family.
Paula Thomas
Teacher
Originally from Oklahoma, Paula graduated from Oklahoma University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She later went on to earn her Masters Degree in Special Education from Texas Women's University. Paula's educational experience includes teaching English and Math overseas in Honduras, and working with local resource and alternative education programs.
