Sylvan makes learning fun!Sylvan has changed my son's whole outlook about school and learning. I was really worried when he came home with his first progress report which said he may have to be held back in kindergarten. When I heard about how Sylvan has helped other children, I called them fast. He has now been attending Sylvan's math and reading classes for two years and learning is much more enjoyable and easier for him. My son went from being frustrated at school and falling behind his classmates to being ahead of his class and proud to be asked by his teacher to help the other kids in his class. His self-esteem has grown so much that he no longer feels bad about not knowing an answer - now he knows he can figure out problems using techniques he has learned at Sylvan. He wakes up every morning excited to go to school! Second grade is an adventure for him. Two years ago I would have never thought things could have changed and improved so much. Sylvan makes learning fun!! - Ethan's mom |

Since going there Shane has caught up to his level of reading and math at a fast pace. He enjoys spending two hours, two days a week there. It is a good, fun learning place to bring your kids! - Amy, Sylvan Parent |
Proud Parents of Honor Roll StudentsWe put both our girls in summer school for one month and continued 2 hours a week during the next school year. To our surprise, it was never an issue to go to Sylvan. Even though our girls were sacrificing some fun time, they did not mind at all to go to school during the summer or after school. They were happy to go and pleased at the end of the lesson. They loved to receive the tokens at the end of the lesson as a reward and loved to shop at the reward shop even more... :) Not once were they treated like they were dumb or incapable of learning a task. The caliber of teachers and office managers at each of the Sylvan offices we went to were impressive. My husband and I have praised Sylvan and encouraged other parents to bring their children to Sylvan, even just for an assessment. - Proud Parents |
NicoleI love going to Sylvan because I was not getting good grades on my report card so my parents took me to Sylvan and now I am getting A's and B's on my report card. Trust me, you'll like going to Sylvan. - Nicole, Sylvan student |
Improve skills before collegeMy grandson graduated from high school in 2009, entered college that fall, and immediately learned he was not ready for the math and English courses. I contacted Sylvan, and arranged for assistance. Today he maintains a high grade in both subjects. I do and have recommended Sylvan to others who need to improve their skills before college, or entering the work force. - Hugh, Sylvan Grandparent |
SAT Seminar definitely worth it!!We would like to thank Sylvan for the help they gave us on this SAT study course. With the initial test, my son scored a 1480. When he took the actual test (6 weeks later and lots of work under his belt), he scored a 1740. That is an increase of 260 points!!! THe SAT study program was definitely worth it for us and we would cetainly recommend it to others. - Audrey, Sylvan parent |
Wonderful, Positive ExperienceI want to take this time to compliment you on your program. It has been a wonderful, positive experience for my daughter. Her math skills have greatly improved, but most importantly her confidence has become much higher in this academic. I have and will continue to recommend the Sylvan program to family and friends. - Christine, Sylvan Parent |
Biggest Impacts in my LifeI think Sylvan has made one of the biggest impacts in my life. If my parents didn't decide to sign me up, who knows where I would be today! I'm glad that I started Sylvan Learning Center. - Andrea, grade 10 |
