Susie Petersen
Center Director
Susie is a graduate of Western Washington University. She earned her degree in Elementary Education and Interdisciplinary Child Development, with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. Susie has worked with Sylvan for 10 years. As Center Director, she works closely with each student and their family, and is focused on their overall Sylvan experience. Susie resides in Bonney Lake.

Randi received a degree in Elementary Education with a focus in English from Pacific Lutheran University. She has local teaching experience and has also spent time teaching 1st grade in Shanghai, China at the Shanghai Community International School.

Sharon teaches eighth grade science at Lakeridge Middle School in the Sumner School District. She is a graduate of Washington State University and received her Master's of Education from Eastern Washington University. When not working with students, Sharon enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.

Coleen received her degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Language Arts/Social Studies from Southern Oregon State College. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience in King and Pierce Counties and has worked with students at Sylvan for 6 years. Coleen enjoys teaching students, reading, watching movies, and gardening in her spare time.

Barbie currently works as a math teacher for the Federal Way School District. In her spare time, Barbie enjoys listening to music, acting, and cooking. Sushi is one of her favorite foods.

Raleigh is a proud of graduate of California State University in Chico, California. She has 25+ years of teaching experience and brings an abundance of knowledge and skill to Sylvan. Prior to teaching, Raleigh established the Arcata worm farm and garden in Arcata, California. She often brightens our day with a smile and a "cheerio"!

Holly is originally from Fargo, North Dakota. She graduated from North Dakota State Univeristy with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Sociology, and went on to receive a Masters of Education in Special Education and Administration from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to pursuing a career in education, Holly served in the US Navy.
