Sylvan's tutors teach skills that last a lifetime. We help students learn how to become self-motivated and achieve independence; above all else, we enable them to approach school — and life — with confidence.
We also maintain Sylvan tutoring special offers and seasonal promotions that make getting your child on the road to success easier.
Please Consider Helping The Giftmakers
Looking for a family activity that will directly help out other South Puget Sound families? Clean out your "gift" closet, shop a few sales and contribute to a fabulous student-run program right here in the South Puget Sound area. Giftmakers is a program operated by students in the Puyallup School District. They coordinate toy, book, game, and stocking stuffer drives, and the items collected are given to local families in need during a two-day gift giveaway in early December.
Organizers, who work year-round in preparation for the following year’s event, are seeking the following new items from the community to make this year’s gift-giving a success:
• Toys, books, and board games for children ages 4 to 14. Each child is given a new toy and several books, and each family receives a board game.
• Sporting equipment such as basketballs, plastic bats and balls, and volleyballs.
• Infant and pre-school toys.
• Holiday stockings and stocking stuffers.
Now all of Pierce County can easily contribute to this event! Drop boxes are available at all Sylvan Learning Centers in the South South Area:
