Sylvan's Advanced Reading Skills program is designed to help students (grades 7th through 12th) improve their reading speed and comprehension. It is a 12-hour reading course designed to double or triple a student's reading speed. Sylvan's Advanced Reading Skills program prepares students for increased workloads in high school and college. Skills learned in the program help students cover more course work in less time, allowing them to achieve greater academic success.

Book Adventure is the free, online reading incentive program that makes reading fun for students in grades K-8. Children use Book Adventure to create personalized book lists from over 7,000 titles, read the books offline, take online quizzes on the books, and earn prizes for reading. Based in Baltimore, MD, the non-profit Book Adventure initiative was created by the Sylvan Learning Foundation.
BookAdventure.com is a free online reading program that uses technology and incentives to motivate children to read. Book Adventure has more than 4.5 million registered users, with more than 137,000 classrooms using the site as a reading source. Children have taken more than 15.5 million quizzes since the site was established in April 1999.
