Bryan graduated from Youngstown State University in 2000. After working as an American Government teacher, Bryan joined our Sylvan in 2001 as a teacher and became a Director in 2003.
Jean is originally from Richmond Virginia, and a graduate of Saint Andrews Presbyterian College. She currently resides in Bellbrook with her husband and two daughters. Jean is a former elementary school teacher and has worked for Sylvan Learning Center since 1988
Wendy earned her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University in 1997. Her teaching degree is in Social Studies, and she just added a reading specialist endorsement to her teaching license. In addition to working as a substitute teacher, Wendy has also been working for Sylvan Learning Center since 2004.
Kathy graduated from Wright State University. Born in Baltimore, MD, she has lived in the area most of her life. She taught preschool and kindergarten for six years at Beavercreek Christian Learning Center (BCLC.) She has been at St Luke School for twenty years, five years teaching second grade and fifteen years in her present position in first grade. She has been at Sylvan for three years.
Elizabeth is originally from upstate New York and a University at Buffalo alumnus. After multiple moves with the military, Elizabeth, her husband, and their two dogs have settled in Ohio. She works as a developmental math teacher for Sinclair and has spent two years as a math, science, and study skills teacher for Sylvan
A graduate of Carroll High School, Travis graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, in June of 2006. Travis joined the Sylvan team in September of 2010 while also substituting in Beavercreek and Mad River City school districts. Travis teaches reading and math at Sylvan.
Mike attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2005 where he studied Applied Physics. He went on to do research in the fields of Super Computing, Astronomy, and Electro-Optics; Mike is published in "The Physics Teacher" as well as other small university research literature. Mike became an instructor for the R.O.B.O.T.S. program for helping to achieve excellence in science, mathematics, and technology for middle and high school students as well as assisting in teaching workshops geared at teaching middle and high school teachers different techniques for teaching science and math. Mike started educating as a teaching assistant under the instruction of Dr. Jose D'Arruda at UNCP in graduate Physics Education courses as well as running the Astronomy lab courses. At that time he also began tutoring math for undergraduate students. Following that, Mike moved to Ohio where he now teaches math, study skills, and homework support at Sylvan.
