Mr. Frasier attended Knoxville College in Knoxville, TN.
Ms. Jayme
Ms. Jayme is somewhat of a rarity among teachers in that she brings a background in both English and Math to Sylvan.
Ms. Jayme has a B.A. in English Literature/Creative Writing from Agnes Scott College and she is currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. She is certified to teach math and has taught high school math in the Atlanta Public School District.
Ms. Jayme says, “I like the puzzle of figuring out the best way to explain a new concept or re-explain an old one in a new way.”
Ms. Jayme teaches all levels of Math and Writing at Sylvan.
Mr. Shomit enjoys applying the variety of teaching styles that he has experienced in both the United States and India to his math instruction at Sylvan. Mr. Shomit found school to be difficult and challenging when he was a student, and as a result, he enjoys tutoring and making the processes and concepts easier to understand for his students. He likes teaching students the “why” and not just the “what,” when teaching math.
Mr. Shomit has a BBA from West Georgia College and an MBA from the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.
Mr. Scott brings energy, creativity and a very unique style to math instruction. Mr. Scott has a B.S. in Math from VA Tech with a focus in education. He is currently a Master’s student at Georgia Tech. At Sylvan he instructs students in math from elementary – college-age, including SAT preparation.
Mr. Kevin brings more than 7 years of teaching experience to the Center and enjoys teaching at Sylvan because the students seem to have an incredibly positive attitude about learning.
"I enjoy seeing a child become academically successful. When the light bulb goes off in their head, there is no greater success as a teacher."
Kevin has a B.A. from Florida A&M University in both History and Political Science and an M.A. in Education from Marygrove College in Detroit, MI.
