"Through the work of your teachers and staff, my son has learned how to learn. Sylvan always treated him with respect and helped him find a way out of failure - an important lesson for all of us to learn. He worked hard and gained the confidence that he could indeed succeed in school. Thank you, Sylvan Learning! You have made all the difference."
- Virginia, Sylvan Parent
Stephanie, Grade 12 student"I never really knew what the problem was in my education until my mother discovered Sylvan. I never thought I could accomplish anything in school because I did not understand what was being taught. Trying to catch up from a grade six reading level was hard to swallow, but in no time I had accomplished this goal and I felt so proud; something I never felt all through school. I can now look forward to post-secondary education. Thank-you so much everyone; this has truly been a great accomplishment in my life." |
Adult Sylvan Writing Student"Before I found Sylvan I avoided written communication, but as a professional Project Manager this was not practical. It would take me hours to revise my writing and I always second guessed my work. At times I would allow others to revise and change my writing, even if it took on a new direction. The grammar checker was my best writing buddy. To correct a grammar warning I would determine where I had to add a comma to make it go away. I quickly got labeled a "Comma Lover". |
