Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals

- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best

Rita Cruickshank
Regional Director
As the Regional Director, Rita has a background in Recreation Services and Human Services Management from Fleming and George Brown College. With her Sylvan certifications, Rita has worked at our Courtice location since 2004 and was previously at our Whitby location since 1999. As a mother of two, and one with a Learning Disablity, she understands that the concerns and needs of our families are part of the daily routine in Courtice and Pickering.
Pat Adams
Assistant Director of Education
As an educator, Pat received her teaching credentials from Bowling Green State University and University of Toronto, OISE. Pat has been working with children from nursery school age to highschool age for over 20 years! She has been with Sylvan since 1999 where she began as instructor and is now currently holding the position of Director of Edcuation at our Courtice location. You can find Pat in our centre working with the students and their families Monday through Saturday.

Our teachers are qualified individuals who are able to facilitate the Sylvan programmes to ensure each student reaches their academic growth and experiences and increase in confidence, self esteem and motivation.
