As an Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are:
Just Teaching. No Lesson Plans. No Preparation.
As a part-time Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group, 3:1 setting. You will provide personalized instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, Test prep and Provincial exams to students of all levels.

As a successful Instructor, you will:
Deliver Quality Education:
· Teach using Sylvan based programs
· Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour while they work with equipment and materials
· Reward students for completed assignments
· Evaluate and document student progress
· Communicate student needs to the center manager
Inspire Students:
· Develop rapport with students and establishes a fun learning environment
· Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan
We require:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
· Ontario Certified

Position Description:
As a Manager of one of our beautiful centres, you are in charge of a staff of 10, and you must wear two hats every day. As a private school, you are in charge of the sales and marketing for your territory. You will have sales objectives and you must thrive on making money and driving business for your centre. You will work with other managers across the GTA, and you have to be a strong leader for your teachers. Growing the business will be your focus, and you will be compensated for doing so. At the same time, you have to love kids, and have a nurturing spirit. You will be sitting down with families every day who need your help and sometimes come to you as a last resort after they have tried everything to help their child. We are looking for an individual who is driven on the financial side, and a very capable people person on the education side. The successful candidate will be compensated with a good base salary and benefits, and will receive a bonus for growing the business month to month and year to year.
