From our Centre Director and Program Director through to each of teaching staff we are dedicated to serving the academic needs of your child. Desmond Jordan
Executive Director
Desmond is the Executive Director and Centre Owner. He has extensive business management expertise in Education and is focused upon making all the centres in the area run smoothly. Desmond is also responsible for ensuring Sylvan's high operating standards are met and that parents and students enjoy the maximum benefits from their Sylvan experience.
Dr. Michael Bruder
Centre Director
Michael is a very experienced Sylvan Teacher having worked in a number of centres and has also held the position of Education Director in Hamilton over the last few years. Michael has completed his Phd. studies specialising in Education and memory at McMaster in Hamilton. He was promoted to Centre Director of Sylvan Hamilton with a mandate to broaden our range of educational services and programs and to grow the enrollment of the newly renovated centre. Help make his task easier by letting your friends, schools, and teachers know how Sylvan has helped your child and your family. Your referral is the best compliment we can receive. Lindy Stewardson B.Sc., B.Ed., P.H.Ec.
Director of Education
Lindy joined Sylvan in 2010 and has continued to develop her educational knowledge and skills to become our Director of Education for the Hamilton area. She is an enthusiastic teacher who always goes the extra mile for her students. Lindy’s own academic performance speaks for itself. She has won regular recognition as well as numerous scholarships and has gone on to amass an impressive collection of educational qualifications.
Lindy is able to relate very well with High School students who see her as a natural mentor. She also has a passion for younger children at both the elementary and pre-school level.
