Sylvan Volunteers on Martin Luther King Day
In honor of MLK day of service, the two Sylvan Learning Centers in Lansing assisted with a project at the Allen Neighborhood Center on Monday, January 16th. The Sylvan volunteers helped in the building of wood bins to house worm composting systems and erecting a small passive-solar hoop house to insulate the worms. They also assisted area youth in making decorations and signs for the bins.
Sylvan Learning partners with local preschools
Sylvan Learning of Lansing is partnering with local preschools to offer reading readiness testing for students. This free assessment takes approximately 15 minutes per student, and results are given immediately to center staff and parents.
