Careers
Center Instructor
Part-time teaching positions are available occasionally. Please submit your resume and we'll contact applicants as the need arises. Possible teaching hours include Monday -Friday 4 - 6:00 pm and possibly 6 - 8:00 pm, and Saturdays 10 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
Summer instructional hours include additional daytime hours. We are closed on Saturdays during July and August.
Math and Science Tutors - High School and Post Secondary Level
Sylvan Learning Centre in Prince Albert seeks dynamic individuals to tutor the new math in grades 10 and 11, and math Math 30A, Math 30B, Math 30C, and calculus) and science (physics, chemistry, and biology).
Requirements
*University degree in area of specialization
*Criminal Record check
*Experience and proficiency in teaching in field of expertise
*Ability to develop rapport with students
*Enthusiasm and positive approach to teaching
*Excellent communication and organizational skills
*Flexibility
Candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency by taking a 30 question high school math test to become a Sylvan Math Certified Instructor.

Here's how we have structured part time employment for teachers in our centre:
* We offer full training in all programs that meet your skill set, background, and qualifications.
* The programs and lesson plans are developed by our staff. As a Sylvan teacher you will require little prep time in order to start teaching when you arrive each day.
* You will be provided with an extensive variety of materials and manipulatives to use for enhancing your instruction.
* The Director handles all communications with parents or guardians so that you get to do what you like best -- teaching!
INSTRUCTIONAL HOURS:
Monday to Thursday: 4:00 pm - 8:15 pm
Saturdays 10:00 am - 12:00
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Center Instructor
Sylvan Learning Centre in Prince Albert seeks dynamic individuals with teaching experience to serve as instructors in reading, math (up to grade 8), writing, and study skills.
Requirements:
*Bachelor of Education degree or university degree with teaching certificate
*Teaching certificate

Instructional hours are Mondays to Thursdays (4:00 pm to 8:15 pm) and Saturdays (10:00 am to 12:00 and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm). Instructors must be available a minimum of two days a week.
Tutor - French Language
Sylvan Learning Centre in Prince Albert seeks a dynamic individual with teaching experience to serve as a tutor for students in French Immersion and the French language school.
Requirements:
*Bachelor of Education or university degree in French
*Experience and proficiency in tutoring the French language and/or tutoring various subjects in French
*Criminal Records check
*Ability to develop rapport with students
*Exceptional spoken and written French skills
*Enthusiasm and positive approach to tutoring
*Excellent communication and organizational skills
*Flexibility
