Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
- Pinpoint your child’s learning needs using the Sylvan Skills Assessment®
- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals
- Offer unique insights about what will work for your child
- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best
- Build a relationship with your child to provide learning that’s fun, engaging and rewarding
Angela Qiodravu, B.A., B.Ed.
Centre Director
Angela, originally from sunny B.C., obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Lethbridge. She moved to Calgary and began working with Sylvan as a part-time tutor in 2004. Angela's desire to meet the educational needs of children in all stages of learning, and her belief in the value of the Sylvan programmes, led her into the Director of Education position, and then onto Centre Director. Angela looks forward to working with you and your family!
Shann Lucero, B.A., B.Ed.
Director of Education
Shann, born and raised in Calgary, obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Calgary. He started teaching in May 2008, specializing in elementary education. He also worked as a part-time tutor here at Sylvan. Now as Director of Education, Shann is eager to support the needs of individual learners and their families.
