Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Robynn Robertson
Director
With over 20 years of experience with Sylvan, Robynn has held every major position in the company. With a B.Ed. from UBC, Robynn began working as a part-time instructor in the Richmond Centre. She was offered many full time teaching positions with the public school system, but she elected to remain with Sylvan and eventually was promoted to Director of Education in the Coquitlam Centre. In 1993 when the Kelowna Centre was to open, she was the natural choice for promotion to Centre Director, where she has been ever since. Away from work, Robynn enjoys spending time with her husband, Jamie, and their two daughters, Kyra & Alexa.
Karyn Hodges
Director of Education
Karyn was promoted to Director of Education in October 2010. After moving to the sunny Okanagan from Squamish in 2005, Karyn completed her Bachelor of Arts degree (History) at Okanagan University College and she completed her Bachelor of Education at UBC-Okanagan in 2007. Soon after, Karyn began her Sylvan career as an instructor at the Kelowna centre and in no time at all her multiple talents were put to use and she was promoted to Associate Director of Education. She is adept at working with students of all ages and grades and she has a strong background in Elementary Education. Karyn is warm and caring and she enjoys working with parents to help their children be strong confident learners.
