Alison Hansen-Carlson
Centre Director
Alison wanted to be a teacher since her first day of Kindergarten. She worked to achieve this dream and in 2006 completed her B.A. at Trinity Western University. After completing her B.Ed. at SFU, Alison entered the teaching field and found that while she loved being surrounded by students, her heart went out to those children who slipped through the cracks in a large classroom setting. Then Alison discovered Sylvan Learning. As a Sylvan teacher she was able to see the difference the programs made in children's lives. She was promoted to Centre Director in the South Delta centre and then moved to the Langley location in December 2010. As a Director Alison loves the difference she can make in a child’s life. "Seeing the joy on both my students' and parents' faces is rewarding and refreshes me each day!"
