"Our daughter Brittany has had a very hard struggle with school throughout the years. Brittany had poor reading skills and in grade seven, she was reading at a grade four level with very little comprehension. For five years in a row Brittany attended Rec "n" Reading during summer, She attended five days a week for six weeks. She complained that she could never do anything because she was always at school and it wasn't fair that her sister didn't have to go to summer school. About a year ago, just after we received Brittany's first report card, we knew we had to do something or she would be repeating grade seven. We decided to get her on a program at Sylvan. Brittany started doing online Sylvan as we have a very hectic schedule and we could not get her to a classroom, so they brought one to her. Putting Brittany in Sylvan was the best decision we could have made for her. She has a great interest in getting good grades because she knows she can do it. Her first grade eight report card was great, she made the "B" Honour role. Wow what a great achievement for her compared to before she did Sylvan. She has great confidence that she was lacking before. We are very proud of her and thankful to the great staff that she worked with at Sylvan. You should be proud of what you do." - Tammy and Scott |
