Math Essentials
Sylvan's Math Essentials program provides students in Kindergarten and above with specific instruction on the basic computation skills, as well as problem solving, measurement, graphing, equations, and numeration. The program addresses mastery and application to ensure a solid foundation.
Reading
Academic Reading
Sylvan's Academic Reading program concentrates, not only on the basic skills (phonics, vocabulary, comprehension) needed for success in reading, but also on higher level critical thinking skills. This program is designed for elementary and high school students.
Writing
Sylvan Academic Writing
Aimed at enhancing writing skills, the program teaches the process approach to writing paragraphs and essays, while stressing the fundamentals of capitalization, punctuation, and sentence building. This program is taught at a variety of levels from Grade Two to university preparation. Academic Writing provides high school students with confidence in taking entrance examinations.

Sylvan's Study Skills program is designed for students who perform at grade level, but need effective study techniques, organizational skills, time management skills and test-taking strategies. The program includes reading and listening skills, as well as outlining, note-taking, test-taking, and memorization strategies.
