Center Director

The position of Centre Director is a permanent, full time position and the successful candidate will participate in a thorough training program. Candidates must have teaching credentials from an accredited institution; teaching experience; and a lively personality that exudes warmth, empathy, and energy. Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are a must. Successful sales experience and/or business experience would also be an asset. Must be fluent in English.
As a Centre Director, you will manage the day-to-day operations of a Sylvan Learning Centre, including responsibility over P&L controls, hiring staff, and optimizing the sales process, the curriculum delivery, and the marketing activities to schools and your surrounding community. You will direct the sales process of new and potential enrollments, monitor and track centre performances, revenues, expenses, and fee collection as well as establish and maintain collaborative relationships with teachers, educational specialists, and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations. As Centre Director, you will lead centre staff meetings with all full-time employees; motivate and continually develop centre staff, and demonstrate a high level of staff morale and spirit.

Senior Mathematics Instructor

Given the right Math Teacher, any student can learn how to do math. Here at Sylvan we look for the very BEST Math Teachers.
We are seeking dedicated part-time math teachers and instructors to give students the help they need when struggling with Pre-Algebra thru Calculus. You will work with groups of no more than three students using prepared lesson plans. You will be part of a team that monitors, guides, and inspires each student to grasp upper level math concepts in order to overcome stressful situations involving math. Whether you are helping them with homework or assisting them prepare for a test, you will be making a positive difference with each student.
