"My son, Orden, was in Grade 4 when he started at Sylvan. His literary skills were very weak and it was affecting his ability to understand and complete school work in the time allotted. He had a lot of homework every night and often, he and I would end up frustrated and in tears because of the difficulty he was having. He was convinced that he could not do the work and his grades and attitude toward school were negative.

We approached Sylvan for the personalized tutoring that he needed in order to get up to grade level. During the assessment test, his anxiety level was so high that he did not complete all of the questions. He began attending Sylvan 4 days a week after school. In about 6 months, not only did he bring his skills from a Grade 2/3 level up to a Grade 5 level, he received his first report card as a solid "B" student. His self confidence has soared to new heights and he is no longer terrified by exams or of being the slowest student in his class. I am so proud of his efforts, and eternally grateful for the quality teaching that he received at Sylvan."
