From failing to a B

"I spoke to Brenda about our son and his struggles with Language Arts. She tested him and they found the problem with his learning in this area. Though he's never been a novelist or been known for his great essay writing, he improved his skills significantly and went from a student failing Language Arts to one who finished the year with a grade of 'B'. More significant than the improvement in his Language Arts skills was that Brenda knbow how to accomplish this without him feeling like he was a loser. In fact, she was able to reassure him that his problem was very common and that he was normal. While very few boys enjoy extra homework and learning sessions, Brenda has developed an environment at SLC that is relaxed and welcoming, where our son could relax and even enjoy himself."

"After I read about Sylvan, I contacted them and met Brenda. She had answers to all my questions, and was very organized and efficient. She tailored a program to each one of my kids and gave me a time frame for the completion of these programs. Soon I felt the progress in their academic work. When I met with Brenda in the periodic conferences to discuss the kids' progress, I could tell she cared for every child n a personal level. She knew their characters, qualities and habits.
