Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Math and Chemistry from the University of Alberta. Being the director of an educational institution such as Sylvan has been a great delight. I really enjoy the relationships I have with the students and the staff. My passion is teaching. I live to watch the light come on in children's minds.

I attended the Universities of Saskatchewan and Alberta, with an emphasis on English and School Libraries.(B.Ed, Grad Diploma). My career as an educator included teaching at all elementary levels and junior high, and administration of 2 school libraries in Saskatchewan, Yukon, and Alberta. After pursuing an opportunity in the business world, I recognized that teaching children and young adults was more satisfying to me. Making a contribution to the progress that our students make in mastering necessary skills and understanding is gratifying.

Hello! I have been graduated for almost a year now after completing an After-Degree in Secondary Education. Before I went into education, I studied Sciences at the U of A. I really enjoyed biology, entomology and zoology. I also like to learn other languages! I studied German and had the opportunity to live in Germany a couple of times. Now I teach French in Edmonton and have the chance to sub in German and Science classrooms. Outside of school, I synchronize swim and coach as well.
I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. I love working with kids and knowing that I am able to make a difference in their education. I have been with Sylvan Learning Center in Sherwood Park since the Summer of 2011 and really enjoy being able to work with all of the students and help them understand concepts that they may struggle with.

Hello there! As someone who passed the vigorous tests to become a Sylvan Learning Tutor, I definitely like to teach! Of course, passing on knowledge is one part of it, but I enjoy interacting with my students as well, and live vicariously through their brilliant young-people anecdotes. I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Combined Degree for both Education and Science. My major was Biological Sciences and my minor was Physical Sciences. Although I teach all the sciences, my passion is for the living things - biology. Zoology, entomology, herpetology, you name it, I love it. In my spare time, I (still) like catching insects (a collection that started in my last entomology class), playing video games and ballroom dancing. I just started (late 2011) here at the Sherwood Park Sylvan Learning Centre, but I hope that both the kids and I will learn a lot from each other!
