Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

I have worked with children for the past 25 years. I hold a teaching certificate with an endorsement in math. For ten years, I taught math, science and social studies to seventh and eighth graders. Since 2001, I have had the opportunity to work at Sylvan. I believe we instill confidence and mastery of the basic skills. We are dedicated to all children, with the knowledge and belief that all children can, and will learn.
Brian Danielson

After receiving my Bachelor of Science from Washington State University in 1985, I taught for several years at the high school and kindergarten levels along with swim lessons for a local Montessori. I made a transition into the business world and worked hospitality and banking for the next twenty years. After a hard look on what difference we all make in this world, I knew I needed to be back in education. It is a challenging and very rewarding experience.
I am a certified teacher for the state of Washington and have coached football for Snohomish High School for the last four years. I am thrilled that I can work at Sylvan Learning Center, making a difference in young peoples’ lives while doing it in the Snohomish community.
My wife works for a major coffee company and we have two boys, one in college and one at SHS. We enjoy skiing/snowboarding, hunting(not my wife), and football!

I have a degree in biology, and I entered the field of education in 1993. I have worked with students in grades K-12, both public and private schools. Sylvan provides me with the ability to work on the specific skills individual students need. I want to help my students learn and become more independent. I enjoy seeing students make growth and discover that - yes, they can do it!! Sylvan allows me the opportunity to make a difference in each student's life.
