Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals
- Offer unique insights about what will work for your child
- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best

Vijay Dhanoa
Centre Director
If there is one person with a passion for learning it’s Vijay. This Fleetwood Centre Director is a life-long learner herself. Vijay has three advanced degrees; a Bachelor’s degree in Science, a Master’s degree in English and a Bachelor of Education.
She is fluent in three languages and she knows the challenges of being a new Canadian. “Many kids who do not come from English speaking families need the extra help to be successful in school. Sylvan’s whole approach—from assessing students to designing individual programs that address skill gaps, is the best way to augment their learning. I know that kids won’t get this type of service from the schools or a typical tutor.”
Vijay sums it up best. “I have a love of learning that is endless. Sylvan is the best place where kids can feel good about learning and I am proud to be part of the Fleetwood Sylvan team.”
Gulneet Sachdeva
Director of Education
Gulneet always wanted to be a teacher and she achieved her dream after she received her Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. Even though she taught in the classroom, Gulneet realized her niche was with Sylvan Learning. “Sylvan has given me the opportunity to help children and families achieve their goals in a way that cannot be done in the classroom.” She is now the Director of Education in the Fleetwood Sylvan Learning centre and is enthusiastic and dedicated to ensuring her all her students succeed academically.
