2010 Sylvan Summer Camps
The Sylvan Learning Center in central Austin is proud to announce math and reading summer camps this year.
Keep your skills sharp with a math problem-solving camp for students entering 4th, 5th or 6th grade.
June 21-25 from 2pm - 4pm
$199
Students can also practice reading comprehension strategies with the Reading for Meaning Summer Camp. Designed for children entering 3rd, 4th or 5th grade.
July 12-16 from 2pm-4pm

The Grand Tour 2010
Parents, kids, and teachers from around the Austin area came together on the 17th of April to walk, run, and bike in The Grand Tour. We were able to attend the event as sponsors for Redeemer Lutheran School (thank you for such a fun time)! It was great to hang out with the kids as we played Blurt and had our wonderful Balloon Guy make balloon animals and "Texas Slides" for the kids. Everyone had such a wonderful time; we can't wait to do it again next year!!
Sylvan Graduates, October 2009
Graduations are occasions to celebrate great accomplishments-that's why we've created the Sylvan Grad Club! When we meet with you at the beginning of your child's program and throughout, we will discover just what goals you have for your child and we'll create a plan for meeting those goals. Once those goals have been achieved, your child will become a member of the Sylvan Grad Club and participate in a Graduation Reception where your child will receive a Sylvan Diploma and other rewards, including a Sylvan Grad t-shirt!

Sylvan is Hiring!
Sylvan Learning of Austin is looking for state certified teachers, especially those with bilingual skills and experience with high school level math and science. Tutoring will take place on local high school campuses during the school day and on Saturdays. Interested applicants should email their resume and a brief biography to kim@austinsylvan.com.
