Meet the Tutors
The tutors of Coral Springs Sylvan Learning Center are all Sylvan trained and certified so that they can best address your child’s academic needs. Our tutors are dedicated to working closely with you and your child in order to help your child reach his or her goals. We start by pinpointing your child’s strengths and areas for improvement through the Sylvan Skills Assessment®. From there, our Coral Springs staff develops a personalized learning plan for your child and offers unique insights about what methods will work best with your child. Ultimately, our tutors will build a relationship with your child and provide a fun, engaging, and rewarding learning environment. The Coral Springs Sylvan Learning Center staff consists of highly experienced and established educational professionals who take great pride in their work with students who want to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.
Barbara Cooper
Center Director
In 2001 Barbara opened the Coral Springs Sylvan Learning center and managed it for six years as the Center Director. The last three years she has served the South Florida area as the District Manager over ten corporate Sylvan Learning centers. Previously, Barbara had been a teacher in the private sector and she holds a BFA from the University of Buffalo. Barbara has also been involved with not-for-profit fundraising for many years and is currently working with the Tri-County Humane Society on an annual fundraising event.
Andrea Berger
Director of Education
Andrea has been with Sylvan since 2002. She started in the Coral Springs center as a teacher and then a program manager. She became the Director of Education in 2004. Andrea was also a Center Director in the Boca Sylvan for a year. She has a degree in Communicative Disorders from The University of Central Florida. She also has her K-6 teaching certification.
