Rebecca has been with Sylvan for over nine years. She graduated from Rhode Island College with an Elementary Education Degree. "Sylvan is the most rewarding place to work. I just love making such a difference with so many families in the community."
Outside of Sylvan, Susan raises a family of her child Cameron and dog Akita. She also enjoys pool, camping, and bowling. When she is working at Sylvan, she enjoys the employees, who are all helpful and friendly. As the first face you see when you come into our center, Susan also exudes these qualities.
Kathy attended Rhode Island College and received her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. She taught grades 5 through 8 for ten years at Father John V. Doyle School in Coventry. When asked about working at Sylvan, Kathy stated, “When a student experiences academic growth and they feel like ‘they can do it’ – it really touches my heart and makes me feel as if I am definitely in the right place.”
Aimee received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College. She said she loves being a teacher a Sylvan because, “I enjoy working with the kids and knowing I can make a difference in someone’s life.” Although she is passionate about her job at Sylvan, she hopes to one day have her own fourth or fifth grade classroom.
Dyana attended the University of Rhode Island for a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies and Rhode Island College for a Master’s in Elementary Education. She loves the people at Sylvan Learning Center – both the students and the friendly, helpful staff. Dyana student taught a first grade class and was also the lead pre-kindergarten teacher at a day care. For the last six months, she has been substitute teaching all grade levels in the West Warwick Public School district.
Michael received his Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education with a minor in Writing from Rhode Island College and is working towards a Master’s degree in English Literature. He has experience teaching at Exeter-West Greenwich Junior High as well as at Warwick Veterans Memorial High School. Michael loves Sylvan’s math and reading programs, which he says are both “relevant and rigorous” and taught in a nice environment with friendly people.
Brandilee is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Education at the Community College of Rhode Island. At Sylvan, she enjoys helping the students learn to be the best that they can be.
Jenna attended Roger Williams University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Mathematics at Providence College. Jenna teaches Mathematics to juniors and seniors at Dighton-Rehoboth High School. Jenna enjoys outdoor activities, relaxing at home with her family and working in her spare time at Sylvan!!!
