Sylvan Advanced Math is the best new advanced math program that gives you the support you need to help your middle or high school child catch up, keep up, or get ahead in math. Only Sylvan’s new Advanced Math program has customized instruction based on the most up to date curriculum and teaching methodologies and also includes individualized homework support that aligns with what he or she is being taught in school. This gives your child the confidence to excel in upper level math and beyond.
Study Skills:
This individualized study skills curriculum is designed to help high school and college students develop effective study techniques, organizational skills, time management skills, reading strategies plus note-taking and test-taking skils. During this program, students will work in the areas of greatest need relevant to their current coursework as they develop skills that will benefit them long-term.
Advanced Reading Skills:
A unique program designed for the on or above-level reader who wants to increase reading rate and improve comprehension. Students who read faster and retain more are able to handle college loads more efficiently with greater success and less stress.
College Essay Writing:
Students who opt for this course will brainstorm their message, select an appropriate topic and write several drafts of their college essay. Your essay differentiates you from all the other applicants and tells admissions officers the things that your scores and your transcripts cannot. Students improve their chances of getting into the college of their choice by writing a quality essay and learn written communication skills that will carry over into their current and future schoolwork.

Students are failing algebra at an alarming rate and this problem reaches far beyond a disappointing report card. Known as a “gateway course,” algebra is a critical stepping-stone to your child’s future. Weak algebra skills could create a troubling domino effect, including lowering ACT®/SAT* scores, limiting access to colleges and ultimately restricting careers. Take the first step to making sure your child stays on track by having your child take our FREE Algebra Readiness Check-up.
Sylvan Learning, in partnership with Let’s Go Learn, is offering a free 21-question Algebra Readiness Check-up to help you determine if your child is ready for the rigors of algebra. Skills in this Check-up were identified based on guidelines from the National Mathematics Advisory Panel as providing the critical foundation for algebra. By assuring the development of these critical skills, you are putting your child on the path to higher-level math success.
How It Works
1.Register to create your account.
2.Add your child. (You can add up to 5 children.)
3.Have your child complete the Algebra Readiness Check-up.
4.After your child completes the Check-up, log back in to your account.
5.View results and find helpful resources to help your child prepare for algebra.
Pave the way to a successful future and find out if your child is ready for algebra.
