Center Director, Eatontown tutoring

Heather Pierce

Center Director

Heather began her career with Sylvan in 1999 after graduating from Rider University. She has a B.A. in elementary education and is Highly Qualified in middle school English & language arts. Heather also has a second major in French. At Sylvan, she teaches reading, math, study skills and writing skills. She is Sylvan Math Certified. In addition, Heather meets with Sylvan parents to discuss student progress.

Amanda Carr

Instructor

Amanda comes to our Eatontown center after having worked as Assistant Director of Education at a center in Pennsylvania. In addition to teaching for Sylvan in the afternoons, Amanda teaches full-time during the day.

JoAnne Colvin

Instructor

JoAnne teaches Academic Reading, Beginning Reading, Study Skills, Test Prep, Math Essentials and SAT Verbal Skills at Sylvan.

Nicole Cook

Nicole has had tutoring and teaching experience before joining our Sylvan team here in Eatontown. She attained her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education with a second major in Psychology from Kean University.

Lauren D'Amico

Classroom Assistant and Mathematics Tutor

Lauren is a graduate of Monmouth University with a B.S. in accounting. She is currently working on her Masters degree in Education. Lauren has worked at our Eatontown Sylvan Learning Center since early 2008. She assists with student assessments, scheduling appointments and making phone calls, and tutors students in mathematics.

Christina Feibusch

In addition to teaching here at Sylvan, Tina works full-time as the Director of a preschool. She attained her Master of Science degree in Special Education from Monmouth University, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Niagara University. Tina has also had many years experience teaching and tutoring before joining our team.

Kathleen Friel

Instructor

Kathleen received her B.A. from Thomas Edison State College. She teaches in our local schools during the day and then tutors at Sylvan in her spare time! Kathleen enjoys working with students of all ages and in all subject areas.

Lauren Henderson

Lauren specializes in mathematics, though she is capable, qualified and excited about teaching other subject areas as well. Lauren attained her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Rowan University.

Phil Mascaro

Instructor

Phil is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and a Master's degree in Education. He has worked in several school districts, including Manalapan High School as a student teacher, and P.S. 58 on Staten Island, as a teacher's aide. At Sylvan, Phil teaches our Reading, Writing and Math programs, including high school math programs as well as SAT prep. Phil has tutored and worked with students for several years and looks forward to working with your child in the future!

Danielle Romano

Instructor

Danielle Romano loves teaching Mathematics! A graduate from Kean University as an Elementary Education and Mathematics Major, she has worked in the education field in many facets, from substitute to supervisor. Most of her career has revolved around Mathematics and Technology as well as student achievement/recognition. She is also involved in all child-related activities at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, (Howell) including being Director of Vacation Bible School as well as President of their Preschool’s Board of Directors. While taking a break from full-time teaching to raise her two children, she has rejoined the workforce as a part-time teacher here at Sylvan Learning Eatontown. Danielle teaches all levels of Mathematics, supports homework help, teaches Basic and Advanced Reading students, and works in the Writing Program. She has also added Beginning Reading to her training and SAT MATH classes to her resume. When not teaching, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter at home with their pets.

Sherri Zabatto

Test Administrator

Sherri is responsible for administering both Diagnostic and Progress Assessments to our students. During the week, Sherri works at Hertz Corporation. Sherri has her B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University.
