Sylvan's Math Essentials Program provides all students with specific instruction on basic computation skills, problem solving, measurement, graphing, equations, and numeration. The program addresses mastery as well as application of mathematical concepts.

Designed for all students, Sylvan's Academic Reading Program helps students to develop both the basic skills and the higher level critical thinking skills needed for success in reading.
Sylvan Beginning Reading
Benefits early learners (as young as 4-1/2) by giving them a head start to excel in school. It will also reinforce the basic skills and help build confidence for those students who are in kindergarten, grades 1 and 2, as well as older students. This program will lay a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning and enjoyment through reading.
Writing
Academic Writing
Designed for students 4th grade and up to improve writing skills, the program teaches the process approach to writing paragraphs, letters, and essays, while stressing the fundamentals of capitalization, punctuation, and sentence building. Editing skills are also sharpened.
Study Skills
- Organization and time management, including how to organize binders, utilize study time and set goals
- Note-taking, including listening skills, managing information and basic note-taking
