Book Adventure

Book Adventure is a free online program that gives students in grades K-8 even more reasons to discover the joys and rewards of a good book. Kids can:

• Create book lists online from more than 7,000 titles
• Take interactive quizzes
• Earn points towards prizes

The Teacher's Lounge feature allows you to follow students' progress and participate in their success. Plus, there are lots of tips, tools and topics on educational activities, motivation and other ways to promote reading.

SAT or ACT Diagnostic Days

Sylvan Learning can partner with you to implement SAT/ACT practice test events. Not only do they provide a chance for your students to reduce the stress of test day, these events can also serve as a fundraiser for your school. Here's how it works:

• Your school will offer SAT or ACT practice exams to your students for a nominal fee. All proceeds go to the school’s designated improvement fund to help pay for dances, field trips or other school activities.
• The College Prep professionals at your local Sylvan Learning center will then review and score the test results.
• We'll then provide an in-person improvement session to each student. During this session, we'll pinpoint the student's strengths and weaknesses to help them focus as they prepare for the SAT or ACT test.
• Note: There is no charge to you or your students for these events. There is also no requirement for a student to be a Sylvan client in order to receive a personalized analysis.

Sylvan can deliver free presentations at your school's PTA/PTO meetings. Each presentation is designed to provide parents with tips to help their children be successful in school. Most presentations are approximately 30 - 90 minutes and cover a range of topics, including the following:
