Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Amber Howell
Center Director
A Florida native, Amber holds a Bachelor's degree from Troy University in Alabama, and a Master's degree from the University of Florida. Amber joined the Sylvan team in 2004, uniting her extensive background in customer service & sales with her experience teaching pre-k through college students. She is a self-proclaimed travel junkie who has visited 18 countries to date. When she doesn't have a passport in her hand, Amber resides in Gainesville with her husband and daughter, and their dogs Shaft, Boomer and Zero.
Griselda Rodriguez
Education Manager
Griselda has been a member of the Sylvan family since the fall of 2007 when she began working as an instructor. A native of Nicaragua, Griselda has called Gainesville her home for nearly a decade. She holds both a Bachelor and Masters Degree from the University of Florida. Now in the role of Education Manager, Griselda loves inspiring the kids to do their best. She works hard to make sure that the needs of all the students and parents at the center are met.
