I believe Sylvan will give me another great teaching experience. I have a BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from Bethany College. In my spare time, I like to go to the movies, shopping, cook, travel, and spend time with my friends and family. I am also a Redskins fan and enjoy watching them play.
I decided to teach at Sylvan because I wanted to continue to be inspired and challenged by the experience of helping our students in their efforts to achieve the confidence and skills they need to reach their educational goals. I have a BA in Education and Art. I also have a librarian certificate from the state of Massachusetts. In my spare time, I am a mom and wife as well as a writer and work part time at the MC Circuit Court Law Library. When I am not doing those, I enjoy researching folklore, painting in watercolors, creating linoleum block prints, and greeting cards, and doing needlework. I also enjoy working in my garden and studying nature.
I started working at Sylvan because I enjoy working with young people. I have an MBA in Marketing, a BS in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics. In my spare time, I work with the PTA at my sons' school.
I attended Salisbury University when I got my degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Art. While I attended college I also participated in Kappa Delta Pi, which is an honor society for teachers. During my senior year in college I student taught with grades Pre-Kindergarten and Second grade. This allowed me to get more experience with various age levels. I decided to work at Sylvan Learning Center because I wanted a chance to help students who are struggling in school since I feel that is the most important part of teaching. I love being able to connect with students on an individual level. In my spare time I like to take pictures of nature since I love photography.
