Handwriting Without Tears helps students learn proper handwriting habits & apply those habits naturally & automatically to all writing experiences that they’ll take throughout their school years. Students develop the important skills they need to print words, sentences, paragraphs and eventually move on to cursive.
Students in Kindergarten through grade 2 learn about cooperation, taking turns, listening, crayon grip, drawing, building, letter & number recognition, and capital letters & number formation. Students learn to print using hands-on materials & developmentally appropriate activities. Students in grade 3 & above transition from print to cursive using the same multisensory techniques. Fine motor skills that are built during this time prepare students for pencil & paper success.
