Susan Dice is the owner-operator and Center Director of Marion Sylvan. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Early and Middle Childhood. She retired after teaching over thirty years in the River Valley School system. She has taught Kindergarten, First and Second grades and spent ten years teaching Seventh Grade History.
Linda Cotton is our Center Director at Marion Sylvan. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She previously taught for Southern Region Pre-K project through the Early Childhood Education Department at Southern Illinois University and was working on a masters degree in Early Childhood education.
Mary Beals is a part-time Director of Education for Marion Sylvan. She is currently teaching Reading at River Valley Middle School. She has taught for twenty four years in the school district. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and a Masters degree in Reading and has certification in Reading Supervision.
B.S. Otterbein College
M.A. Ashland University Dianne O’Neill taught thirty years in the public school systems ranging from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. She wrote the Remedial Reading program and taught the course at Marion Technical College. She subsituted in the Marion City School system for 10 years. She has taught at Sylvan for eight years.
Two years program in Electronics from Mansfield Technical School.
Completed courses in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Completed training in computer networking and maintains the computers in the center. Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator. Twelve years in sales.
Cliff handles all of the administration for the center and works with public relations for the area
Tom Lyon is the Director of Mathematics at the Marion Center. Tom retired from River Valley Schools from teaching high school mathematics and Computer Science. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics, Biological Science, Computer Science and Data Processing. He also holds a Masters of Education degree and a Masters of Arts degree.

Angela Parks taught high school English and journalism for more than 30 years. She has served on various journalism boards. Former students have received writing awards including Pulitzer and Kennedy Memorial Foundation Awards.

Bob Webb taught Speech, English, and Social Studies in the public schools for 37 years. He has taught GED prep at the Marion Correctional Institution and written and spoken communication at the Marion Technical College. He has taught language arts and ACT prep at Sylvan for five years.
B.A.Ohio Northern University/M.Ed.Bowling Green University. Reading certified,with over 30 years Title 1 teaching experience and 4 years with Sylvan.

Helen has taught for eleven years. She is presently teaching Science at the Marion Juvenile Correctional Institution. She also serves on the Department of Youth Services Core Committee, which approves professional development for teacher licenses.

Cheryl Kelley is certified in elementary education and special education. She taught 12 years teaching children in special education. She has worked with individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. Cheryl is currently also a faculty member of the Marion Technical College
