Sylvan Learning Centre, North America's leading provider of educational services, seeks part-time teachers/instructors.

At Sylvan Learning Centre, we teach students (ages kindergarten through high school) skill levels to increase confidence and independence, providing them with skills that will last a lifetime. Centers offer instruction in reading, writing, math, science and study skills.

We want enthusiastic, warm and caring people. To qualify as an instructor, you must be a certified teacher (current or expired).

French, Science and High Level Math teachers are encouraged to apply. Certification is preferred but not required for math instructors.

Centre Director

Centre Director- Sylvan Learning Centre

Position Overview:

As a successful Centre Director, you will manage the day-to-day operations of a Sylvan Learning Centre, including responsibility over P&L controls, hiring staff, enrolling new students, curriculum delivery, and marketing activities to schools and your surrounding community. You will monitor and track centre performance, revenues, expenses, and fee collection as well as establish and maintain collaborative relationships with teachers, educational specialists and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations. As Centre Director, you will hire, train, and manage teachers and support staff, lead staff meetings, and demonstrate a high level of staff morale and spirit.


Duration: On-going Full-Time employment Hours: The position requires evening and weekend presence.

Salary: To be determined based upon education and experience. A competitive benefit and bonus package is included.

Purpose: To manage and direct the full customer life cycle. Inquiry, enrollment, delivery of programs, on-going meetings, disenrollment. Responsible for all aspects of managing a successful educational business.

Education:
Minimum Undergraduate Degree required, Bachelor of Education degree preferred.

Experience:
Minimum 3 year’s experience in education, administration, or management, related to academic programs or student services. Experience with sales and marketing; exposure to and knowledge of academic and curriculum structures within the province of Ontario. Strong leadership and staff management skills.

Excellent writing, editing and organizational skills, strong report writing, including analysis, interpretation, and evaluation

Excellent interpersonal skills

Familiarity with the Ontario education curriculum.
