Inga Norviel

I have lived in Mattoon all of my life. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in December 2005 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. In May 2007, I finished my Middle School endorsement requirements for Social Sciences and Language Arts. I began my career at Sylvan Learning Center in March 2006. In my three years at Sylvan, I have enjoyed working with all the different ages of children. They are truly a joy!
Sarah Cole

My name is Sarah Cole: I was born in Arkansas, moved to Illinois when I was six and graduated from Sullivan High School in 1998. I majored in English with a Teacher's Certification. I enjoy reading and helping students learn.
Sarah Dowell

I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. My certification covers grades ranging from K-9. I returned to EIU to begin working on my Master's degree this winter.
Nihal Joag

Hi, my name is Nihal and I'm a Mattoon native. I have a bachelors degree in Finance and Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and a MBA in Enterprise Risk Management and Finance from Georgia State University. I have years of experience tutoring students from grade school to the college level. I am excited to return to my hometown and look forward to working with our students to help the enrich their minds and our community.
Jeanine Helmink

After graduating from Teutopolis High School, I attended Lake Land College. I then transferred to EIU where I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education. I began my career at Sylvan in September 2010. I enjoy working with the students at all the various age levels and subjects.
Jennifer Hall
Instructor
Hi, my name is Jennifer Hall. I have an Early Childhood degree from EIU. I also have an endorsement for Special Education. I taught Early Childhood Special Education for 11 years and now I am teaching Kindergarten. I love working with students indivually and in small groups to help them achieve success!
