Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
I joined Sylvan in August 2011. I hold a bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Illinois University. I took the promotion to Director on July 1, 2012. I love working with the families to find a suitable program to make sure their student excels. Each student is my priority and look forward to making sure that each family receives the best they can from Sylvan Learning Center.
When I'm not at the center, I love to watch movies, read books, and hang out with my husband and friends.
I attended Luther College with a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Special Education. I have taught middle school special education for five years in Iowa. I enjoy helping children of all ages. An interesting fact about me is that I have been to 44 of the 50 states and love to share my experiences.
I recently joined Sylvan in March 2012. I work with reading and math essential students as well as the ACT prep students. I am very excited to help make a difference in our students lives. I enjoy working with every student and helping them reach their goals. I am currently a junior at Eastern Illinois University majoring in secondary mathematics education with a middle level endorsement. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on walks, and going boating.
I joined the Sylvan as Center Director on July 27, 2012. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in December 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with concentrations in Math, Science, and Social Science. I live in Mattoon, Illinois with my two children. In my free time, I love spending time with my kids and taking part in their extra-curricular activities as well as reading and going on walks. I enjoy working at Sylvan because it provides students with an enriched, engaging environment for them to reach their goals and enjoy the learning process.
