"My son Jakob mainly comes summers to the center. We live in Oakland so it is quite a hike and just doesn't work out during the school year. I absolutely feel the center's teachers have contributed greatly to my son's overall academic success and most definitely in helping him to keep his head in the game so to speak during the summer breaks. He is not always thrilled to come in the summer, at first, but ends up really having a good time. I will be in touch once we finalize vacation plans and baseball times. Thank you so much Greg!

ACT Prep

"The ACT preparation course at Sylvan Learning Center in Mattoon not only equipped me for taking the test, but gave me the confidence I needed to reach my potential. The course improved my score six points within about twelve weeks. At Sylvan, I was able to talk to the instructors about what my goals were on the ACT and get advice from their experiences. Having a set time every week at Sylvan assures time that can be spent only on preparing for the ACT whereas preparing at home can often lead to multiple distractions and breaks. Being with motivational tutors kept me focused and goal oriented. I highly recommend the ACT preparation course provided at Sylvan Learning Center because it drastically changed my scores which directly influences my future and self-confidence."
