Sylvan supports parental involvement!
Last month Sylan’s McAllen team participated in the annual McAllen ISD parent involvement conference. Our College Readiness experts gave insightful presentations about preparing for college. Sylvan and Boys & Girls Clubs = Texas AIM
Texas AIM enters it’s 3rd year across the state – and it started right here in the Rio Grande Valley! Across Texas Sylvan centers have partnered with their local Boys and Girls Clubs to provide targeted academic interventions for their students and that program is called Texas AIM. We are proud partners of 6 Valley Boyr& Girls clubs - Laguna Madre, Los Fresnos, Harlingen, Pharr, Edinburg and McAllen. If you are a club member or simply want to get involved, please call us.
We're in 50 Valley schools - Could yours be next?
Our Sylvan contract team is hard at work this school year! To date we have launched over 50 Ace It sites right inside local Rio Grande Valley schools. Ace it is a Sylvan developed program that allows us to provide targeted tutoring in math and reading throughout the community. The program was launched in 2005 and has been constantly growing and demonstrating strong academic success since inception. Supporting Junior League Events!
As we’ve done for may years, Sylvan supports the Junior League of McAllen. This year’s Arts and Literacy Festival served a whopping 2,500 students at IMAS. Our Sylvan staff was there on hand to conduct FREE math activities for attendees. Be sure to look for us at Dias Festivos this year!
