The Merrimack Sylvan Learning Center helps students learn how to become self-motivated, independent, and most importantly approach school, as well as life, with confidence. Our tutoring programs are available both when school is in session, as well as during the summer with additional instructional hours. We are constantly looking for new ways for Merrimack Sylvan to better help students achieve success. Sylvan Offers:
SylvanTestPrep.com: This online program offers video based instruction for the PSAT/ACT & SAT. Inclusive of 4 full-length practice tests, an organized "study hall", skill review and test strategies .
Sylvan In-Center SAT/ACT prep: Our 8 week course includes 3 full length practice tests, detailed score reports, skill review, and test strateiges specfic to the SAT or ACT.
Sylvan Test Prep Plus: This option combines our online and in-center course, a great option for students preparing to take the test(s) multiple times!

Sylvan Seminar Series
These free seminars are designed to help parents learn about the latest trends in education and how they can help their children successfully navigate their way through school. They’re fun and interactive.
Forgotten Math for Parents: Help overcome math fears. Travel from station to station to revisit some of the math skills that may have been forgotten. It’s a fun way to ‘freshen up on fractions’ and other skills. Homework time won’t be quite so scary.
Test Stress: A Parent’s Real Guide to College Test Prep: Great for parents of teens preparing for the PSAT/SAT/ACT. Get tips and advice from experts to help you help your child handle the stress of taking the test and develop a high school action plan.
Algebra Spoken Here: Math is a language that everyone can and should learn. Hear some of the latest math trends and news. Learn tricks on how to incorporate math into everyday life and discover that the foundation for algebra actually starts in Pre-K.
Middle School Transitions: Learn about the changes and challenges children face as they reach middle school – academically, socially, and psychologically. Parents receive advice on how to help their teens cope during this tumultuous time.
High School Transitions: Teens state that their parents have the most influence on their actions, more so than their peers. Know what to expect as your teen enters high school and how to help them through the changes. Hear from real life parents, teens and experts in a short video as they share how they address these challenges.
