My daughter Trisha signed up for the Organizational Skills program and spent part of the Spring, and end of Summer and Fall completing it.

Before going into the program, Trisha was truly unable to walk from class to class without leaving a trail of belongings, books, and homework assignments in her wake. Her grades suffered and we were worried that her High School experience would be a disaster, so we started her at Sylvan.

Trisha truly enjoyed her time at the Sylvan classes. She received praise and positive feedback which gave her the self confidence she needed to get on track for High School. Barbara, Ellen and many of the other teachers at Sylvan were so nice to her. She came out of class feeling positive and happy.

We are happy to report that Trisha was on the honor roll the first quarter in 9th grade, for the first time ever.

Good things happening at home.

"I want to let you know that Zachary has been taking books to bed on his own. I was not aware of this until he came to me the other night and asked "Can we log onto Sylvan so I can take the quiz on 3 books I read". I was like what books, when did you read them? We read books together in the family room so I was very surprised to find out he was also reading some in bed. He took the quiz 2 of the 3 he scored 80, the third one 100. He was not happy with the 80's so he asked to retake it. I told him remember there are different questions to take it over. He said I know that but I still want to do it again. Well he scored a 100 on both.""
