Annie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia with a double major in Psychology and Visual Arts. In January 2006, she started her Sylvan career at the Arbutus location as a Teachers’ Assistant. She worked hard and made her way up to become the Office Manager and a Progress Advisor. Her strong belief in the Sylvan programs and her positive interactions with customers have resulted in her helping many families to reach their goals. In the summer of 2011, Annie was promoted to Centre Director and transferred to the Metropolis at Metrotown centre. She looks forward to continuing to see students catch up, keep up and stay ahead in their individualized programs.
Linda graduated in 2006 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Education degree. Her philosophy as a teacher is to undertake her teaching responsibilities with compassion, humility and commitment to prepare her students in becoming socially responsible, life-long learners. Linda began her career at Sylvan Learning as a part-time instructor and was quick to develop an interest in Sylvan's unique and personalized approach to teaching. In January 2009, Linda became a Director of Education at the Metrotown location.
Anisa obtained her Bachelor of Education degree in 2001 from the University of British Columbia. She then went on to work for the Vancouver School Board as a Teacher-on-Call and, at the same time, began teaching for Sylvan Learning in the evenings. In 2003, Anisa joined Sylvan full-time as a Director of Education. She worked at both the Champlain and Arbutus locations for a number of years, before transferring to this centre in March 2011. Anisa enjoys watching the small steps that students take every day to rise to their potential.
Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfred Laurier University in Ontario. She then returned to Hong Kong to pursue a career in teaching, after which she returned to Canada and joined Sylvan Learning in 2003. She loves helping people, and enjoys working with those of diverse backgrounds. Since she speaks Cantonese and Mandarin, she is often called upon to translate at Sylvan.
