Educate, Inc. Files Registration Statement With The SEC For An Initial Public Offering

(Baltimore, MD) — Educate, Inc. announced today that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. A portion of the shares will be issued and sold by Educate, Inc., and a portion will be sold by certain stockholders of Educate, Inc.

Goldman, Sachs & Company and Merrill Lynch & Company will act as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering. Co-managers include JP Morgan, Banc of America Securities LLC, Legg Mason Wood Walker and ThinkEquity Partners, LLC.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective.
