(Baltimore, MD, July 23, 2008) – Sylvan Learning centers across the country have been recognized as the “best of the best” local education providers through Nickelodeon’s ParentsConnect’s First Annual Parents’ Pick Awards. ParentsConnect is an online resource for parents with children of all ages that offers unique features focused on the individual parents’ needs.
The awards identify winners in 52 major U.S. cities with categories ranging from Best Toy Store to Best Kids’ Museum. 36 Sylvan Learning centers have been awarded “Best College Prep Class for Teens” and/or “Best Tutoring for Big Kids.”

Users’ votes from May 19 – June 30, 2008, determined the winners in each category.
