I want to first say thank you so much! I came into Sylvan the middle of my junior year. I had many problems with reading, vocabulary, writing, homework and many other things. After participating in Sylvan's Academic Reading, ACT Prep and College Prep Writing courses, I can not explain how much I am more confident in my school work and feel ten times more prepared to go to college than a year ago. Next semester, I will even return to Sylvan to receive homework support. Emily (Center Director of the Urbandale, IA, Sylvan Learning): I couldn't ask for a more supporting person to work with. My family and I have had lots of fun meeting with you and truly seeing all the progress I have made. And look at me now, I am off to college and truly wouldn't have been if it weren't for you. You keep me going in the hard times of ACT and in the times of me wanting to give up. I know I can speak for every kid in this center that you and everyone here have been a huge help in our success. I had so many struggles at school and I thought I just wasn't able to overcome it. Sylvan has truly changed me. I know that I can take every single thing I have learned at Sylvan, even the things that don't have to do with learning, and take it to my future career in Elementary Education.
