If you and your child are already registered users, you will notice our new and enhanced features. We added additional book titles to the Help Me Find a Book section, plus new quizzes in the Quiz-o-Matic area.

If you are not familiar with the Web site, here’s how it works in a nutshell. BookAdventure.com tailors recommended book lists to your child based on his or her (electronic) input. In addition to providing individualized reading lists from more than 7,000 titles, BookAdventure.com allows children to test their comprehension of the books they have read by taking quizzes, earning points and choosing great prizes.

In addition, the Web site features a “Teachers Lounge” showcasing educational resources where teachers can obtain tools and tips for motivating their classes, plan lessons, learn how to spot reading challenges and how to utilize BookAdventure.com. Please encourage your child’s teacher to visit the Web site to obtain a free, teaching guide.

Many parents want to encourage their children to read more often, but aren’t quite sure how to tap into a book selection that matches their child’s grade level and interests. Sound familiar? With Kids Zone’s Help Me Find a Book, you will never have this problem again.

When your child clicks on the Help Me Find a Book section of BookAdventure.com, Bailey Bookmark “digs” for books children will love—based on your child’s input regarding grade level and interests. (Note: Depending on your child’s age and comfort level using a computer, parental assistance may be required.) Whether your child is in kindergarten or eighth grade, or wants to read about fantasy or forensic science, Kids Zone will help locate specific books that will engage your child’s interests. You will be amazed at the huge selection of reading materials that are just a few clicks away. Plus, we have recently added 20 new book selections to our reading lists.

Quiz-O-Matic
Does your child like to win prizes? Then, BookAdventure.com is the Web site for him or her. In the Kids Zone’s Quiz-O-Matic section, children test their comprehension by taking quizzes on stories they have read from the recommended book lists. Children then earn points towards cool prizes that the child chooses (with parental consent). How is that for a reading incentive? If your child has already whizzed through many of the quizzes on the site, don’t worry. New quizzes have been added, and the site will continue to be updated with new material on a regular basis.

Parent’s Place
