From New York To Hawaii: 39 Sylvan Learning Centers Nominated In National Awards Program

Sylvan Learning Nominated for Nickelodeon’s First Annual Parents’ Pick Awards

(Baltimore, MD, June 16, 2008) – Sylvan Learning centers across the country have been nominated as the “best of the best” local education providers through Nickelodeon’s ParentsConnect’s First Annual Parents’ Pick Awards. ParentsConnect is an online resource for parents with children of all ages that offers unique features focused on the individual parents’ needs.

The awards will identify winners in 52 major U.S. cities with categories ranging from Best Toy Store to Best Kids’ Museum. Sylvan has been nominated in the following award categories: Best College Prep Class for Teens, Best Tutoring for Big Kids, and Best Tutoring for Little Kids.

“The Parents’ Pick Awards are a quick and easy way for parents to find the best local option for their children in a variety of venues,” said Jeff Cohen, Chief Executive Officer, Educate, Inc. “Sylvan Learning is the premiere provider of personalized learning plans for students in grades K-12, and we are honored to be recognized by our local communities in this inaugural awards program.”

All nominated businesses were chosen based on recommendations from ParentsConnect.com’s local city editors who live and work in the cities they cover, along with recommendations from ParentsConnect users.
