Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals

Bion Shelden
Director
Bion earned his Bachelors Degree from Illinois State University. He then spent fifteen years teaching in a variety of environments, including inner city, suburban, and college prep schools. He has also worked with homeschoolers for many years. He came to Sylvan in 2001. His current responsibilities include assisting parents with determining student needs, training and supervising the North Jax teaching staff, and assuring that all our students receive a high quality program.
