After teaching elementary school for seven years and running the local PTA, Robyn joined the Sylvan staff in 2009 as the NCLB Coordinator. In January, 2010, Robyn was promoted to Center Director and is excited about working with our dedicated staff and awesome families. Robyn is passionate about meeting every child's individual needs and loves seeing the smiling faces of happy children walking out of the center!
Lori has been with Sylvan since 2003, working as a Director in the Central Florida centers for almost six years. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in English Education and has eight years of classroom and leadership experience, including two years in Central Asia. She is excited to be a part of the Palm Harbor Sylvan team. She loves working with all ages and abilities of students at Sylvan and looks forward to partnering with families to see students succeed!
Brooke Todsen has previous experience working with SES tutoring and is looking forward to helping Sylvan provide tutoring services to families in need. Brooke has a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State in Humanities: 20th Century Studies and Classical Languages and Civilizations and a Master of Arts in Humanities and Social Thought from New York University. She enjoys substitute teaching at Northside Christian School in St. Petersburg and working with SAFE/Saving Antiquities for Everyone, a non-profit organization based in New York City. She loves kids and is thrilled to see them find success in academics!
Steve graduated summa cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida. He has been at Sylvan since 2000 and enjoys riding bicycles in his free time. He has taught at St. Petersburg College as an adjunct professor for 10 years. Steve enjoys helping children realize their strengths and abilities in mathematics. He also enjoys showing them how learning math can be both interesting and rewarding.
Fran Stumpff has 27 years of teaching experience. She has taught English and Print Journalism at Shorecrest Preparatory School, served as assessment administrator for Westat Research Corp., & helped run a family business. Fran attended FSU and received her B.S. in English and Journalism. She also served on the Board of Judges for the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. She finds it rewarding to help students achieve their potential. She loves seeing how well the Sylvan program works and enjoys watching students grow.
Judy has been with Sylvan since 2008 and enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and married son. She graduated from St. Mary of the Springs, now Ohio Dominican University. Judy has taught twelve years of SAT and GRE Math review at St. Pete College, as well as elementary grades K-5 and middle school Math. She loves children and enjoys staying involved in their education here at Sylvan.
Heidi has been with Sylvan since April of 2011. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Physics. She began her teaching career at her alma mater, Land O’Lakes High School. She currently teaches Chemistry at Anclote High School. Both in the classroom and at Sylvan, Heidi loves the challenges and rewards of helping students succeed.
Luciana started working with Sylvan in November 2010. She has an education degree from Auburn University. Luci has been a Title 1 teacher at Sandy Lane Elementary for the past seven years. She has two children; one who is starting college this fall. She likes to read and scrapbook and spends time with her husband at the beach, the dog park, or cheering for Rays baseball! She loves giving individual attention to students in the small group setting at Sylvan.
