Great Improvement!"Tomas came to Sylvan two years ago with difficulties in both reading and math. I was very leary as to what you can do to help him. First, your attention and patience with Tomas as outstanding. From the moment we came in, everyone was very polite and had a smile on their faces. Unbelievable Progress"My name is Ana, a grandmother. My grandson has been attending Sylvan for approx. 10 months. In those 10 months I have seen my grandson's unbelievable progress month by month. He is in the second grade. Every night I would hear the frustration between my daughter and him and the homework, I would cry listening how he tried and tried and he was just lost. I remember one night while listening to the (witching hour) a commercial from Sylvan came on and I decided to call and make an appointment. (I am so glad and thank God everyday for Sylvan and a gentlema called Steve. I made the appointment, old my daughter and we went to Sylvan. They scheduled a test for my grandson. Steve called a couple of days after and told us to come in for the results, needless to explain what the results were, he was at a kindergarten level (no wonder he was having so much difficulties). I asked Steve if maybe my grandson had a handicap as a learning disability. He looked at me and said I can't say he does or does not have a learning dissability, but the truth of the matter is he is lost in second grade with a K1 level. Steve said but I know we can help him. I found Steve to be so genuine and knowlegeable of the learning process we decided to put all our trust in his hands. Thank God we did, my grandson not only improved one grade level but is up to 3rd grade reading and 4th grade math. At the time he started Sylvan his regular school teacher doubted very much he could pass because he was failing totally. He passed his SAT's and is on the way to the third grade. We are extremely happy for lack of a better word and thank God every day for Steve and Sylvan. Sylvan and his staff are the best I have ever seen, and more important what they say, and promise they do. It's law, they really know their business." - Ana P. |

Significant Improvement"My daughter took her SAT-10 test on March 3 and scored a 17% on the reading portion. 2nd graders have to score atleast a 30% to pass to the third grade. On May 6th she had a second chance to take a similar test and she passed with a 42%. I believe my daughter has improved significantly in reading since being enrolled at Sylvan and that it is one of the reasons she scored so much better." - Jeanene W. |

Come a Long Way"I must admit I was very skeptical at first. My older child had attended Huntington Learning Center for approx 2 years and he left out of there the same as he went in. I truly felt that it was more about the money than the education. However, I heard nothing but wonderful things about Sylvan and decided to actually call and listen and give it a try. My youngest child has been attending now for 6 months and even though he has a long way to go he has come a LONG way and his attitude towards schools and himself has improved.
